Online seminar on "New Public Management: Lean State, Lean Government" : Call for Applications
The Friedrich Naumann Foundation’s International Academy for Leadership (IAF) invites young leaders engaged in politics, administration, research and private sector to join an online seminar on new public management.
The online seminar on "New Public Management" is divided into three phases. In the first part (which will start on 23.07.2009), participants are given materials to read with an aim to deepen their knowledge. In the second part, participants are encouraged to discuss via an online forum their views and insights. Lastly, participants will be asked to write an essay. The seminar does not require participants to be online at all times. They have the flexibility to work at their own pace provided they meet the deadlines assigned to each task.
Based on their contribution, IAF will invite 24 participants to Gummersbach, Germany to continue the discussions raised online. To secure an international and regional mix of participants the two best performers from Africa, South Asia and Southeast and East Asia, Eastern Europe, from the Mediterranean Countries and from Latin America – presuming a good performance. The remaining 12 invitees will be chosen according to performance regardless of the region of residence.
